At this time of year, ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl, there are gonna be lists created about the 2025 season in regards to who's the MVP, who's the offensive, Defensive Player of the Year, who are impactful players.

But Sports Illustrated recently came up with a list foreshadowing and predicting who are gonna be impactful players in 2026.

And five Detroit Lions ended up being named.

In the top 5.

And most notably, you understand the key players that gained respect for the Detroit Lions, including Aiden Hutchinson, including Pena Sewell, Jamir Gibbs .

You look at the talented linebacker who's emerging, Jack Campbell, and as always, um, when you realize one of the emerging running backs in Jamir Gibbs.

So 5 total to recap, Jamir Gibbs, Pena Sewell, Aiden Hutchinson, Amanra Saint Brown, and Jack Campbell.

But there was one notable snub, maybe 2.

Many will look at that list and say, wait a minute, where's Jared Goff?

The impactful quarterback that leads this team has not been named a potential 100 top player in 2026.

Now, for Jared Goff, we understand that his success was predicated on the success of the offensive line, and Detroit is retooling their offensive line, especially after Frank Rag now retired.

Taylor.

Decker could retire.

But another player to keep uh and pay attention to is wide receiver Jason Williams.

Even though his offensive coordinator did get dismissed, when Dan Campbell started calling plays, you started to see him emerge as had back to back 1000 yard seasons, and you expect that his competitiveness, his willingness to hone his craft and get better, that he does.

have an opportunity with a new offensive coordinator and Drew Petzing.

If the run game does take shape and there's an opportunity for the play action pass to get back on track, then I do think that Jason Williams has a chance to have an impactful 2026 season.

But for right now, Sports Illustrated lists five Detroit Lions as potential top 100 players this upcoming season .
