That's a big win.
man, it's gonna be a lot of fun.
These guys in this room love each other.
you know, all the doubters all year, we believe right from the start, right from training camp.
you know, it, it's gonna be a blast, and, we're gonna soak it all in, but job's not done.
How appropriate was it to see Dan Vuor make the final save and just put his hands in the air?
That seems like that's- Yeah been the guy all year.
Yeah, he's been our backbone.
Both those guys have, but, the emotion Vahti plays with and, you know, the excitement he has, and it doesn't matter who it is, he's, he's the guy that's always got a smile on his face.
I've, I've never played with a goalie that's been that vocal, both on the ice, off the ice, and, you know, TV timeout.
He's always coming by and, and keeping us going.
So, you know, he's, he's a big part of this and, you know, he's, he deserves this one for sure.
The atmosphere was unbelievable tonight.
What do you expect it to be like in the postseason here?
Yeah, ever since I got here, I've heard nothing but how crazy the fans are and how passionate they are and, you know, there's been glints of it, but, you know, this is ultimately what they wanted and, I I had chills going out for the game.
that was the loudest I've heard this building and, towards the end of it too, I couldn't even hear anything.
So a lot of credit goes to them too.
They've stuck by our side and, and had our backs all the way through, and I know it's been a, been a long time coming for them, so they, they need to enjoy this too.
And, we're gonna need them going down the stretch, so.
What does this mean to you, you're going to the playoffs for the first time?
Yeah, it's incredible.
hadn't really felt anything like it.
and to do it kinda in that fashion, down early, versus a great team, to claw back in and then, get it done in the shootout was, pretty special.
The fans were unbelievable tonight.
Like, that was the coolest, coolest thing I've ever seen and, the reaction when Forny scored in the shootout, I'll never forget that.
Really proud of those guys right from training camp.
Like, we actually put a It actually motivated some of the guys.
We put up a preseason prediction, and we had a lot of, lot of You guys had us, not you guys, not you.
Not you.
A lot of people had us last, and I put it up there to make those guys understand the position we're in.
It was all them.
So, really proud of the, the way they stuck together since training camp.
And this is a tough game.
Carolina's a tough team.
I know they had six, seven guys out, but they just, they didn't give in and, we had to earn it, and we did.
