Mets starter Freddy Peralta was asked if the team has reached out regarding a contract extension, with him saying "I have no comment about that." Peralta also spoke about how spring training has gone so far, and his experience pitching to Francisco Alvarez.

You seemed, before the game, you seemed very loose, you know, in the clubhouse and such, and, having fun.
Is, is that kind of your You know, a lot of pitchers like to, seem to be, you know, withdrawn really, but you seem Is that your, your usual, way you go about things and, you know, is, is that how you've done it your whole career?
Yes.
that's how I've done it my whole career.
I just be myself every day.
It don't matter if I'm pitching or not pitching.
That's what I do.
Yeah.
And as the game went on today, you, you mixed in more change-ups, curveballs.
Was that kinda something you planned beforehand?
it was after the first, after the first inning.
me and, and Albie, we had a conversation, and we thought it was the right way to do it, because we saw that they were swinging a little, like trying to hunt the fast ball earlier and, and we tried to, you know, to miss a little bit more and just, you know, because that's what I thought in the moment.
I told him, I asked him, and he say, "Yes," and it work.
How have you liked working with, with Alvarez, a- and how has that relationship grown over the pa- first few weeks?
I think it's going really well.
I had conversations with him even before I, we got here in spring training.
And, and back then I knew that, that he was going to be really good because, he's very interesting and, and, and make you do well and for, you know, for, for us, for ourself, for the team, for everything.
So we just He showed me that he wanna win, so he care about it, that he care about, about, performance and, and that's number one for catcher.
I think that's very important, for him, for us, for the whole team.
What's it been like to work with Justin Willard so far?
Wha- Sorry?
W- what's it been like to work with Justin Willard, the pitching coach?
He's been really good because I think that he has, great communication.
I think that's number one.
That's very important for us, especially for a starting pitcher.
he's been, he's been on me all the time, like trying to get me better.
And even, even live VPs, bullpens, n- games, he's been very well.
W- what's something he's stressed with you so far?
he's on me 'cause he's, we working on, on get better on, on get the first pitch for a strike.
And, you know, that's W- we all have something to say and, and that's what I like to do because I'm better when, when I have somebody like try- trying to, to fire me up and, and, and drive me to, to get better, you know?
That's the way that I, that I feel good about, about this game.

Are you at all disappointed that, you only went three again?
I think you were- No, I'm fine.
You know, I understand this and I know how, how, how spring training is.
actually, I, I told Justin earlier today that it's kinda good to have some, some traffic during the game because it's gonna happen during the season and, and I was able to come out, without much damage.
And, you know, I only ha- I only threw, like, 45 pitches, I think.
And, and I went to the bullpen and I finished there.
that pregame, basketball tournament you were having in there, who won?
Me.

No, just, we always betting, like, coffee or something.
So somebody have to bring me a coffee tomorrow.
