Gilbert Burns correctly predicted Khamzat Chimaev would struggle at UFC 328

Gilbert Burns says he forecast problems for Khamzat Chimaev's UFC 328 title bid, citing weight-cut concerns after Sean Strickland reclaimed the middleweight belt by split decision. In a YouTube breakdown, Burns said Chimaev reportedly shed about 44 pounds and argued the weight cut harmed performance. He also highlighted Sean Strickland's grappling durability, noting BJJ standouts Vagner Rocha and Aquile Rocha could not submit him in training. Strickland won by split decision after absorbing an early wrestling-heavy first round. Burns pointed to Chimaev's unusual weigh-in, Round 2 fatigue, and a pull-guard sequence as signs of physical strain. After the event, UFC CEO Dana White said Chimaev may move to light heavyweight, and Burns suggested Paulo Costa next.
