Harrison Bader’s Hamstring Delay Clouds Giants’ Outfield Reunion
Harrison Bader's minor hamstring issue has delayed the San Francisco Giants' plan to reunite their starting outfield ahead of Opening Day.

So for the San Francisco Giants, reports have indicated that Harrison Bader is dealing with a hamstring issue.
And although it is, you know, ruled to be day to day, not necessarily something that's going to impact them a whole, a whole lot, especially as spring training comes along.
but you know, he is, you know, or has, you know, dealt with, you know, some, some, you know, slight injuries this spring training.
Obviously, you know, he was dealing with a, a, a, a wrist issue, sort of at the beginning of spring training, before he left to, you know, the WBC tournament.
and obviously, you know, would play through, you know, that, that slight hamstring issue through the WBC.
but you know, this isn't something that is going to impact him a whole lot.
he is still expected to be the opening day starter for the Giants on opening day.
and you know, really for, you know, Harrison Bader, you know, he has, you know, had a very, you know, decent spring, considering the fact that, you know, he had to ramp up so early for, you know, the, the tournament.
but you know that the Giants are, you know, very much looking to sort of stay competitive this season.
Obviously, you know, Harrison Bader was signed, on a short-term deal, but necessarily, you know, signed to sort of, you know, progress through this rebuild period for the Giants.
Obviously, they are, you know, retooling their roster in terms of, you know, the depth that they have and the players that, you know, are going to be used this regular season.
but you know, Bader is, you know, a former Gold Glove winner.
Obviously, he is one of the best defensive outfielders in the league.
Certainly showed that, you know, when he was with the Phillies last year in the playoffs.
and you know, has just been a very reliable outfielder, and that is something that, you know, the Giants have emphasized that, you know, they've needed, especially given the fact that, you know, Jung-hoo Lee, who was, you know, the center fielder for them last year, necessarily wasn't the strongest defender.
So, you know, they, they ended up, you know, going for a guy like Bader, who, you know, was coming off one of his best offensive seasons, but also could just, you know, provide very much, or very good stability in the center field spot for them.
certainly he is expected to play a very big part for the Giants going forward.
and you know, they are very much looking towards his services as, you know, the regular season gets on.
