30 laps tonight around Tri-State Speedway to close out a three-win week for Nos Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week presented by K&N Filters.
And Justin, you were there to capitalize right when it mattered most.
Were you just watching Brady closing up on Harley, but not able to make the move?
How were you able to decide what you were going to do when you got there?
Yeah, I knew we had a really, really good Nos Energy Drink, number four.
I, there, we were very good all night long, and, they're, they're angry.
And, just tried to keep my nose clean there early.
I knew I had a good enough race car to like, like pick through guys, and looked like everybody else was getting freer, and it was coming to me, and I figured, "Well, okay, just let things, let things widen up here, and, and we'll be, we'll be good to drive by them."
And figured if I could get, once I got Kyle and Mitchell put away early, I felt like I was, you know, gonna be okay to get by Brady and, and Harley there.
But getting the 19 and the 3P behind you here early was, seems like a, like a good thing.
So yeah, and, yeah, everybody, you hear the booing.
They, they were mad about the heat races, me and Robert there.
And, you know, I, I hate that, that it got upside down there.
I think I was I felt like I was clear up alongside him off of two, and, and all the way down the back stretch, and parked it on the first infield tire, and kinda felt like he had a, a whole racetrack above him, and, and tried to get to the first infield tire through the side of my race car.
So I don't know what, I don't know what I could've done there other than just disappearing out of his way.
But, you know, gotta go in the heat races, and, and they're, you know, they won't see it that way, and, and Robert might not either.
And, I'm sorry he got tore up there.
I just, I don't know what else, you know, I'm far enough up along there, didn't bomb in on him or anything.
It was, I was under him all the way off of two, so I don't know, I don't know what more, And he didn't come down and say anything or, and I haven't talked to him yet.
I'll catch up with him later, but hopefully, hopefully we can kinda work that out and figure out what, who was, who was upset and who was in the wrong there.
And, it's, it's a shame any time something gets tore up, and I of all people didn't want him to get tore up there, 'cause I needed him to transfer so we could try and keep, you know, one guy out and, and get me on the front row.
So that's, wasn't obvi- I mean, despite, you know, I'm a jerk, and well, you know, whatever you think what you want of me, but, it wasn't in my best interest to do that, so I certainly didn't wanna do it.
But anyways, so, can't thank Nos Energy Drink, MPV Logistics, Hopp Motorsports, Hopp Industries, Jeff Walker, Nick Mansker, Tyson, my buddy Simon's down here, Austin Williams is out here helping.
We got River Cone, Hud's boy helping us out.
Just ton of partners that make this, make this possible.
And again, Maximum Chassis, FK Shocks, Schoenfeld Headers, Stanton Engines, everybody that, everybody that, that keeps, keeps me digging, keeps me happy in this thing.
Jeff Walker trying to keep, keep making me fast, and, keep me from getting too spun out back in the pits between runs.
And it's tough, you know?
We were really, really bad to start the day, and, and we're able to dig out and have a good race car at the end.
So that's a testament to having good people around you and, and a good race car underneath you.
