Kyle Cummins Reacts After Pouncing Late To Win USAC Indiana Sprint Week At Terre Haute
Kyle Cummins drove around Brady Bacon coming to the white flag to win the USAC Indiana Sprint Week feature at Terre Haute. His reaction post-race.

Kyle, little by little, you were there all along, but little by little, especially on that final restart, how were you chipping away at what those guys in front of you were doing?
Yeah, just, my car didn't go on the bottom, and I tried to run the bottom and it wasn't any good.
And there at the, the beginning, I'm just like, "Man, if it runs around the bottom, I, I might not finish in the top five."
And then I seen Brady move up, and, and I, I moved up a little bit, and it finally started getting cleaned off, cleaned off, and then, then it kind of got dirtier or whatever.
And then when Justin moved down, I don't know, it just gave me like a The, the curb started getting a little bit more, where I could see it a little bit and I could run on it and, make some adjustments in the car.
And, you know, starting back there in fifth, especially on a track like this, it's tough.
It's, you know, you can get there, it's just really hard to pass.
And, it worked out really good that, that Justin moved down.
So, and then, you know, this one's probably more I'm more excited about this than I am Putnamville.
That was, You know, to be a I always wanted to be a champion, but I wanted to be able to make champion moves whenever the pressure was on.
And, you know, Brady, Justin, Robert, all them guys can make pressure moves when the pressure's on a- and get these last lap passes, just like at Put- or, Lawrenceburg there.
And, you know, I just, when we took the green, I was like, "No way he's on the top," and I, I don't think I lifted there that first, on that first start there, and just took the cushion just right and, knew he was gonna go to the top.
So I was like, "I'm gonna slide it for him, and whatever happens at the other end."
And, you know, just, can't thank, Jerry and Bev Petty enough, with Vonte Windows and Doors, you know, just for giving me this opportunity.
And, you know, I'm doing all I can do to, support the brand right.

I'll tell you what, you know, He, He makes me, He puts, you know He's the one driving the thing, basically.
He, He knows, tells me where to go and, you know, I just, trust His decision.
He keeps me calm, and, you know, without Him, I wouldn't be anything.
So, you know, just give that up to Him.
And then, you know, just, everybody here, I appreciate everyone coming out.
It's cool to see all these people at, at Sprint Week, and it really makes the week exciting.
And, you know, hopefully the next couple nights everyone comes out and, you know, packs the stands.
The more you pack the stands, the more they wanna pay us, and that's what we like.

The cushion tonight at the front of the field, before you go, it gave and it took back away.
How much was it really just racing the Terre Haute Action Track as much as it was racing your competitors?
Yeah, it was definitely, Even the last lap, I wasn't sure.
I could've clipped it there.
You know, I, I was there for a couple laps, I was getting in a little low and smacking it.
And, there, before the last caution or that last caution, I thought Brady was going to the top and it forced me up a little bit higher, and, and it really got more momentum off the track.
So, that kind of gave me that to go in a little bit higher and get a little bit momentum.
But it was definitely, it was treacherous.
It wasn't huge, but it would, when you're balled up and to the floor if, you know, you're trying to keep the car straight, but also trying to plug in the cushion and get a drive off the straightaway.
So, just can't thank everybody enough, and, we'll go tomorrow.
