I just, I'm so thankful that he's here, you know, we, we had a, we had to rebuild the old line, as you guys all know, and, you know, he was a big, pardon the pun, big piece of, you know, like what we were trying to build and, uh, you know, we, we just keeping Connor, getting him, you know, keeping some of the other guys, those were some big, big, big.
Accomplishments by our personnel staff and our coaching staff in January.
Yeah, you talked about the Big 10 Media Day.
You had the, the video of the team meeting, had the Big 10 championship and all the CFP rounds.
How do you, has there been any challenges in getting that belief in place and how do you maintain that belief once, you know, the dog days of camp happen and once you get into the season and adversity eventually?
Yeah, I, yeah, yeah, again, same thing I learned younger in my, in my life that you move towards and become like what you think about the most.
If you think about it you're going to be a champion, you will be, and you know there's no reason why.
I was a Big 10 champ twice as a player.
Besides, we bought in, we believed, we played our butts off for each other, and then we had some guys make some big plays and big time moments and then momentum got going, confidence, and away we go.
Same thing when, you know, as a coach, as I've been in a leadership role, you know, there's been, you know, a couple of ups and downs of those championship runs and bowl championship teams, but, you know, there was a , there was a belief internally, regardless of what was said externally.
That we're just going to buy into getting better and improving and playing our rear ends off for each other and then you just got to go out and make it happen on game day and then momentum starts going in the right direction.
