It's been over two weeks now since the Calgary Flames traded defenseman Rasmus Andersson to the Vegas Golden Knights, and that's only served to stir up more speculation about which players they could put on the trade block next before the March sixth deadline.

So that's one of the topics of today's NHL Rumor Roundup column.

Kent Wilson of the Calgary Sun recently put out a list of, proposed trade candidates, and topping it, of course, is center Nazem Kadri.

Now, Wilson believes that, Kadri will still generate interest in the trade market, despite the decline in his production over the last several weeks.

a potential sticking point, of course, remains his contract, as he has three more years left on his deal with an average annual value of seven million.

Earlier this season, it was rumored that the Montreal Canadiens were interested in Kadri.

However, RG.org's Marco D'Amico pointed out that their interest in Kadri has since cooled, and that's because of several factors.

One being Oliver Kahenen's, emergence as a second line center, their acquisition of Philip Danault from the Los Angeles Kings back in December, and the ongoing development of promising prospect Michael Hage.

Meanwhile, Blake Coleman and, Zach Whitecloud are also mentioned as potential trade candidates.

Now, Coleman is a thirty-four-year-old winger who has a year left on his contract, and he has been sidelined until after the Olympic break by an injury, but that's not expected to dampen any interest in him in the trade market.

Whitecloud, meanwhile, was acquired from the Golden Knights in the Rasmus Andersson deal, but there are some observers who think that the Flames might flip him to a playoff contender before the trade deadline for draft picks and prospects.
