Cubs Outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong Needs a Mental Reset
From a heated fan confrontation to costly fielding blunders and a freezing bat, Chicago's young star is slumping. Giving him a day off could be a smart move by the Cubs.

What is up Cubs fans, and welcome back to Cubs Roundtable.
I'm Joey Polizzi talking about all things Cubs.
It has been a few rough days for Cubs center fielder Pete Cronenworth.
And it started on Sunday when Pete Cronenworth traveled to the right center gap, tried to corral a ball, couldn't quite get there.
White Sox were able to score some runs, and Cronenworth heard some chirping from a White Sox fan.
Cronenworth talked back, and he was then fined $5,000 for his choice of words.
Then on Tuesday, Cronenworth, again, traveling to the right center gap.
Couldn't corral a ball.
Was kinda nonchalant when he went up for the ball.
It dropped.
It wasn't error on Pete Cronenworth in center field.
And then on Wednesday, yesterday, Cronenworth was trying to field a single up the middle, and it rolled right underneath his glove, rolled all the way to the wall, and David Hamilton went and hit a three-run Little League home run.
There's no question that these past three days have been questionable for Pete Cronenworth, and obviously he's not all there right now, and obviously is affected by something.
Could be affected by what happened on Sunday with the White Sox fan, the interaction there.
He was fined $5,000 for that.
And, you know, it's trickled in here with some blunders in the outfield on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Even offensively, Cronenworth is not there.
Batting poorly over his past 13 games, and doesn't even have a 200 batting average in the month of May.
So I think it's time that the Cubs give Cronenworth a day off.
You got Thursday's off day, but I think Cronenworth should also get a day off sometime this weekend.
I know all three pitchers the Astros are throwing out there are all righties, but Cronenworth needs a day off.
He definitely needs a day off.
The mistakes in the outfield are unlike him, uncharacteristic of him, and his bat has been really, really cold.
So we'll see what happens, but I think Cronenworth definitely deserves a day off here this weekend.
