TCU Horned Frogs Coach Sonny Dykes discusses Quarterback Jaden Craig. Dykes talks about how Craig checks a lot of boxes for him just from many things such as self awareness, his love of the process, and how he wants to do things the right way and so many more things.

Sonny, you said previously before that Jaden checked a lot of the boxes for you guys, as he's been in the building.
You've gotten to know him a little bit more.
What are you seeing from him as he's taken more of an ownership of his leadership role?
Yeah.
You know, the more I'm around him, the more boxes I think he checks in a lot of ways.
Um, you know, we, we went to dinner last night.
And had a chance to just visit and talk and it wasn't really about football, just about other things and Just so impressed with his self-awareness, you know what I mean?
I think, uh, You know, I have uh teenage girls and a nine year old son in my household, and, uh, self-awareness is a big challenge for all of us in the Dykes household for sure.
Um, and, and it's cool when you get around a player that just You know, is, is understands who he is, what his role is, what his strengths are, what his weaknesses are, um .
You know, I appreciate his Love of the process of playing quarterback.
Because it is, it's a, it's a, it's a process-driven position.
I appreciate the fact that, that he wants to do things the right way.
I appreciate the way he has come in and um You know, won over the hearts and minds, I think, of his teammates, and he did it by, you know, being humble, by working hard, by not overstepping his bounds, by never Pounding his chest and saying, look at me.
You know, he's just, he's a joy to be around.
He's a really talented football player.
I expect great things from him.
You know, in our program, whoever the quarterback is, we hand him the keys to the program.
And so there's a lot of, uh, a lot of responsibility that comes along with that, and I feel very confident.
Into those keys to him.
