Registration begins Monday, April 20 and ends Monday, June 22.
Credit Recovery Academy
During the summer, Credit Recovery Academy provides an opportunity for students to recover one high school course credit. Students may not take these courses for new course credit. Students will attend class in person. Transportation information will be communicated to families prior to the start of the program.

Credit Recovery Academy Algebra 1
This course is for FCPS students who have taken Algebra 1 and have been unsuccessful in earning credit.
Students cannot take the in-person Credit Recovery Academy Algebra 1 course if they pass Algebra 1 or Honors Algebra 1 or for new course credit .
Summer Online Campus Algebra 1
Current FCPS students (SY 2025-26) who complete or have completed Algebra 1 or Honors Algebra 1 during the school year are eligible to take the Online Campus Summer Learning Algebra 1 course
- For repeat credit.
- To improve their understanding of course content.
- To improve their grade.
Middle school students may use this summer online course to replace an expunged school-year grade.
Students will complete the appropriate SOL test at the end of the course if needed. No honors credit will be awarded. The course will run for five weeks, and students will meet with their instructors, virtually, for one hour each day.

Students need to bring their FCPS computer from the school year to class each day to complete their summer course. Please remind your student to communicate this need to their school technology specialist during the end-of-year technology checkout process.

Eligibility
- Students are eligible to enroll in a Credit Recovery Academy course if they have previously received a grade of F.
- Students may not take a course for new credit.
Important Information
Credit recovery courses and test remediation classes may be canceled if they are under-enrolled. If a course or class is canceled, students will be notified using the registration contact information provided. Students must meet attendance requirements to remain in class.

Grading during Summer Learning
Summer learning programs, such as Credit Recovery Academy or summer Online Campus courses, may have adjusted grading requirements due to their shortened format.
Withdrawing from a course
- Students who withdraw from July 6 - July 15 may do so without receiving a mark on their transcript.
- Students who withdraw from July 16 - July 20 will receive a mark of withdrawn failing (WF) or withdrawn passing (WP).
- Students who withdraw after July 20 will receive a mark of withdrawn pass (WP) or fail (F).

Transportation
Transportation will be provided from depot stops. Students will receive bus information after registering and are advised to be at the stops at least 10 minutes before the departure time.
Lunch
Students have 20-30 minutes for lunch. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
Summer learning programming is contingent upon final approval of the FY27 budget and may be canceled if funding is not available.
