Mathematics: Sixth-grade students will explore proportional relationships, expressions, equations, and integers. Students will work with ratios, rates, and percents to solve complex problems, and they will apply their understanding of the number system to include integers and rational numbers.
Language Arts:Your student will analyze complex texts to determine the author's purpose, draw inferences, and make connections. They will refine their writing by producing multi-paragraph compositions—including informative, narrative, and persuasive pieces.
Science: This year provides an opportunity for our sixth graders to explore weather, space, and chemistry through hands-on experiments.
Social Studies: We explore the complexities of human interactions throughout history by utilizing problem-based learning and simulations.
