自転車で休み休みしながら山道を上ります。家や水場があるとそこで一休みすることになります。道沿いにある家の人とは顔なじみです。子供たちは外で遊んでいます。家の中からお母さんやおばあちゃんが出てきます。しばらく話をして、山道を上り続けます。 （続く）

In 2011, East Timor announced its intention to become the eleventh member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It is one of only two predominantly Christian nations in Southeast Asia, the other being the Philippines, as well as the only country of Asia to be located completely in the Southern Hemisphere.
