The Risks Nobody Wants to Talk About

Credibility requires honesty. Here’s what could go wrong:

 Smart Contract Exploits — AI agents interact with code. If that code has a vulnerability, agents can trigger — or amplify — a devastating exploit at machine speed. The 2022 Ronin Bridge hack showed how fast things unravel. AI doesn’t make this safer by default.

The SEC, the EU's MiCA framework, and emerging CFTC guidance on digital assets are all grappling with the same question: how do you regulate an entity that has no nationality, no emotion, and no lunch break?

No clean answers yet. What’s emerging is a patchwork of industry self-regulation, protocol-level compliance tools, and cautious experimentation by institutional players dipping toes into DeFAI.

What’s Coming: 2027 and Beyond
