シャトー　デュ・ドメーヌ・ド・レグリース［2001］ 　CP92

97と飲み比べてみました。01は隠れ右岸の当たり年です。

このワインの方が想像どおり強く元気です。滋味やヨード香も強く、レグリーズらしいワインです。まあ97と比べて強いのであって、ニューワールドのメルロやロラン系のワインの様なパワーはありません。あくまでもエレガントで古典的なレグリーズの範疇です。

トリュフ香もあって、ポムロールらしさが楽しめ一本です。パーカーさんも気になるらしく、3回も試飲されています。

中級の古典的ポムロールとしては貴重なワインだと思います。

A strong effort from proprietor Philippe Casteja, this deep ruby/purple-colored 2001 displays both muscle and elegance. Plum, black cherry liqueur, truffles, and smoky oak provide an attractive aromatic display. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and dense, with moderate tannin in the finish, it should be at its best between 2007-2016.

An impressively saturated black/ruby/purple color is followed by a wine with low acidity and plenty of smoky oak. It offers chocolatey, plum, and fig-like flavors along with excellent depth, ripeness, richness, and concentration. It should be at its peak between 2006-2015.

I tasted this 2001 only one time. Even though it revealed an impressively saturated black/ruby/purple color, it lacked acidity, and came across as monolithic, although there is plenty of depth, ripeness, and richness. In the past, wines such as this have tended to become more delineated, and reveal more grip after six months of barrel aging. If that happens, this Pomerol will easily merit a score in the high eighties. There is plenty going on in this pure, concentrated effort. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2015.
