On 20th, I went photographing Izu Kyuko 2100 Series R-5 set, nicknamed "Alpha Resort 21", at Nishifu Station on JR East Nambu Line. On that day, the set was in service as a special "Resort Odoriko" limited express between Tachikawa Station on Nambu Line and Izukyu-shimoda Station on Izu Kyuko Line.
As usual, the set is a 7-carriage when in local service between Atami Station on JR East Ito Line and Izukyu-shimoda Station or an 8-carriage coupling with the "Royal Box" Green Car seating carriage in "Resort Odoriko" limited express service toward Tokyo Station. However, the set shortened to a 6-carriage because of the length of the platform on Nambu Line. The blue-coloured line of the first carriage, 2161, didn't continue to the second carriage, 2122.
Two and half years have passed since the last time I saw R-5 set at Atami Station. It was the first time for me to photograph it on Nambu Line.
