1枚目は、夢洲駅に入線する400系。
400系のデザインコンセプトである「宇宙船」のような雰囲気を出したかったことと、「夢洲」の行き先表示を出している姿を撮りたいと思い撮影。
4方向に輝く白色LEDの前照灯がまぶしい。この前照灯こそが、暗いトンネルの中で400系を見分けるポイントと言える。
2枚目は、学研奈良登美ヶ丘駅～学研北生駒駅間を走る400系。編成全体を収めた1枚を、線路を跨ぐ道路の上から撮影。上空に架線や架線柱がない第三軌条集電の路線ならではの屋根まできれいに見える構図で。
3枚目は大阪港駅に停車中の夢洲行き列車と発車する生駒行き列車。撮影当時、リニューアル工事が進む大阪港駅と最新型の400系2編成で、変わりゆくOsaka Metroを表現。
そして夜になり、400系撮影はこの時が本番。僕が1番撮りたかったのは、トンネル内を走っている時よりも「宇宙船」のように見える、夜の高架区間を走る列車。
朝潮橋駅近くのみなと通から見上げるアングルと、Asueアリーナ大阪の丘から見下ろすアングルで撮影。
4枚目のみなと通からの1枚は、星空へ飛び立とうとしているような雰囲気で撮影。
I also photographed Osaka Metro 400 Series.
The first is when about to arrive at Yumeshima terminal. Because of its design concept, "Spaceship", I want to photograph it when the train runs underground to resemble space, and shows "Yumeshima" on its destination indicator.
Its headlights on four short sides looked bright, and its symbol to identify in the dark tunnel.
The second one is shot between Gakken-nara-tomigaoka Station and Gakken-kita-ikoma Station from an overhead roadway.
I wanted to shoot a whole set without any obstacles above it because of the third rail electric collection.
The third is at Osaka Port Station. This photograph depicts the changing Osaka Metro with two 400 Series trains stopping at or departing from Osaka Port Station under refurbishment.
The fourth and fifth photographs were 400 Series in night view shot between Asashiobashi Station and Osaka Port Station. They were I wanted to shoot best because 400 Series looks like a spaceship at night, more than underground or in the tunnels.
The fourth was the train looking like a spaceship about to fly from the walkway on Minato-dori Street.
The fifth was the train like a spaceship flying in the starry sky from Asue Arena Osaka hill near Asashiobashi Station. The streetlights and apartment lights resembled shiny stars. Some real stars were shining in the image.
