​​　なんと清々しく、若々しく、勇気あふれる映画でしょう。言葉を棄てた世界には、なんとワクワクとドキドキが溢れていることでしょう。こんなフィルムを一人で作り出す青年が、世界のどこかにいるのです。
​　若き日の 大江健三郎 が小説の題名にしてたたえた、 W・H・オーデン の詩 ｢見るまえに跳べ｣ の、こんな一節を思い出していました。​​​

​​Much can be said for social savior-faire,
But to rejoice when no one else is there
Is even harder than it is to weep;
No one is watching, but you have to leap.​　 ​​

​ ​​（​拙訳）​
だれか人がいると、よろこんでアレコレ話すんだ。
しかし、だれもいない場所で楽しむのは
一人で泣くことよりも　難しいよ。
誰も見ていてはくれない。でもね、跳ばなきゃならないんだ。 ​​​
