Here the tortelloni is stuffed with ground grouper as well as ricotta cheese, and the list of specials is more likely to include tuna than veal. The Insalata Di Mare, a shrimp, clam, scallop, squid and mussel salad with an orange flavored dressing, is a must. Couple your tasty treat with chai, tea, hot chocolate or a cup of fresh-brewed coffee. There is a variety of flavors to choose from, including Nutty Raspberry and Mint Cookie.

Sotto Sopra

This elegant restaurant features floor-to-ceiling murals of cafe scenes and gilded mirrors. The owners redecorated the dining room in the mid-90s; only the cracked tile floor is original. To start, try a half-order of the gnocchi in red pepper sauce or sample from the tapas Bar. For a main course, the thin-crusted pizza is a nice choice. Made with homemade sauce and topped with mozzarella, it is a gourmet delight. For dessert, choose from truffles, fresh fruit served with ice cream and Profiteroles with chocolate sauce.

Ethel's Creole Kitchen

Ethel's Creole Kitchen is a two-storeyed Cajun and Creole restaurant that has seating arrangements outside and also on the rooftop. From the outside, it gives an impression of a European bungalow and yellow and black colored walls and the plants adorning the railings only add credibility to the said impression. Once inside, you will come across a neatly arranged row of tables giving this place a pleasant atmosphere. The yellow walls with paintings and bright lightings give this eatery a welcoming feel, adding to its charm. However, it is not only the overall decor but also the promise of serving authentic Cajun and Creole food that brings people to Ethel's Creole Kitchen. Some of the restaurant's highlights include delicacies such as Nola Chicken, Creole Shrimp Boat, Fried Chesapeake Oysters, Mom's Crabcakes, Slow Roasted Baby Back Ribs and many more. However, the one recipe that shouldn't be missed here is the Jambalaya, a dish which was described by The Baltimore Sun as one of the city's finest single-dish meals.
