With their booked and busy lifestyles, the rich and famous (read: our fave celebrities) undergo many a hairstyle transformation. Whether it's for a brand new up-and-coming feature film or an onstage world tour, we're never short of the dramatics that come with an unexpected cut or color change.
And over the past few years, pixie cuts have been big. From Lupita Nyong'o's DIY attempt to Victoria Beckham’s decade-defining style, everyone has been jumping onto the trend—though, admittedly, it has been floating around for a hot sec. But I suppose if ever a time to join 'em, it would be now!
So, if you're considering short hair, the pixie cut is officially where it's at for 2026. And of course, a little hair inspo wouldn't go amiss with our round-up of some of our go-to girl crushes that have rocked the cropped look.
1) Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham may be famous for her iconic pob haircut , but giving the style a run for its money comes her 2007 blonde pixie. I mean, just look at the volume in this side-swept bouffant style!
2) Nicole Kidman
The 2025 Met Gala was show-stopping for a number of reasons, but it was Nicole Kidman's dramatic pixie cut that stole the spotlight. We later learned that the look was the result of a very clever wig, but nevertheless, the long-fringed, shadow-rooted, side-parted style was one that went down in history!
3) Pamela Anderson
Another celebrity pixie cut that has gone down in history books was Pamela Anderson's head-hugging chop, circa October 2013. It totally redefined her bombshell image, proving short hair can be sultry, modern, and empowering!
4) Ashley Graham
Where do we start with this look from Ashley Graham? First up, have we ever seen the model with hair quite this blonde? We think not. It's practically gold, people.
And then there's the pixie cut, which takes signature 1920s flapper waves to the next level; I mean, she's basically a Roman Goddess statue with this look.
5) Kristen Stewart
In 2024, Twilight alum (read: legend), Kristen Stewart, attended a prestigious Chanel-branded dinner to celebrate the launch of the Sofia Coppola Archive: 1999-2023. Doing so in style, the actor debuted a fresh pixie haircut, chopping a few inches off of her previous mullet style. The shaggy wet look created by celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel is to die for.

6) Julia Garner
Although Julia Garner first debuted a pixie back when she accepted her Best Supporting Actress award at the 2023 Golden Globes, our favorite version of her short 'do is this bouffant hairstyle. Is it just us, or is this serving 2008 Victoria Beckham vibes? We're so here for a revival.
A round of applause for her hairstylist, Bobby Eliot , who transformed her cropped hairstyle into a Linda Evangelista-esque masterpiece. Julia's pixie cut is one to note for its reminiscent retro feel. This style was an era-defining 90s moment, and we're so here for its comeback courtesy of this award-winning actor.
7) Lupita Nyong'o
Verging on a buzz cut, Lupita Nyong'o revealed she'd picked up the scissors and "chopped off my sisterlocks!" in a heartfelt (yet funny) Instagram reel dedicated to the lost locks.
Although it looks like she attempted a DIY job, rest assured, as we spotted legendary hairstylist, Vernon François , peeping in the background of the vid. So, we assume he took matters into his own hands to create this chic pixie cut.
Is there a hairstyle Lupita can't pull off? We think not in this universe.
8) Scarlett Johansson
In the trailer for Wes Anderson’s film Asteroid City , Scarlett Johansson, who plays a Hollywood actor named Midge Campbell, gave all the 1950s vibes.
Her dark, pixie hair transformation was reminiscent of the nostalgic era and even reminds us of Elizabeth Taylor's iconic cropped curls.
9) Kelly Rowland
In 2022, Destiny's Child legend, Kelly Rowland, attended the 5th Annual WACO Wearable Art Gala in LA with a dark 50s-esque pixie cut that couldn't be more different from her XXL mermaid lengths.

She even took to the Industry Dance Awards to debut a pink-toned look that she created herself. Impressive, right?
