Most items in original, undamaged condition can be returned to Wayfair within 30 days of delivery for a refund or store credit. Mattressess have a 100-night free trial; if you're not happy with your new sleep surface, you can get a refund (minus a $49-$99 fee) or store credit. Large appliances can be returned within 48 hours of delivery as long as they haven't been installed and are returned in the original packaging — you may have to pay the manufacturer's restocking fee. Open box items, clearance items, gift cards, personalized items, live plants and items marked as "nonreturnable" cannot be returned. To return an item, visit the "My Orders" section of "My Account" and choose the return option for the item you want to return (drop-off or pick-up). Once you've set up the return, you'll receive a confirmation email with specific instructions, including any return labels you need.

After you place your order, Wayfair will send emails with information on the status of your order, including a tracking number and an estimated delivery date. You can also head to the My Orders page to track your order — you'll be able to find the exact location of your item by clicking on "Track Your Package."

Small items are shipped by FedEx via one-day, two-day, express, expedited or ground shipping. For larger items, Wayfair partners with specialized carriers — you can choose from curbside delivery, front door drop-off, inside home entrance drop-off, backyard delivery, room-of-choice delivery and full-service delivery. Most orders qualify for free shipping; orders under $35 have a flat shipping rate of $4.99. Some larger items may default to full-service delivery for $99.99, but you have the option to downgrade to free standard shipping.

You can cancel your Wayfair order before it ships on the My Orders page. (You'll see a "Cancel" button next to the item if it's eligible.) Keep in mind that made-to-order items can't be canceled.

Wayfair offers assembly services through Angi and Wayfair Home Service — both are provided at a fixed price for eligible Wayfair products. You can also purchase the service after an order has been placed on the My Orders page. A pro will unpack and assemble the item in your home; note that they are not responsible for throwing out packaging material or bringing the item to your home (the item will be delivered separately before your assembly appointment).
