"Just like manicures, pedicures take on a seasonal shift, and autumn is the moment to lean into richer tones and elevated finishes," says Juanita Huber-Millet , the founder and creative director of luxury nail salon Townhouse in Beverly Hills. "Think deep burgundy for a polished, statement-making look or a sumptuous chocolate brown for that chic, cozy vibe, perfect against soft knits and ankle boots. For something more fashion-forward, a glazed chrome overlay gives pedicures a toasted, luminous edge that feels effortlessly modern."

If you're in need of some inspiration, you've come to the right place. To help get you started, we asked top nail artists for insight on the best fall pedicure ideas.

What pedicure nail colors are trending for fall 2026?

"Pedicure trends tend to change less dramatically than manicure trends," says Vikki Swan , an award-winning nail educator, international nail competition judge, and the founder of Vikki Swan Nail Academy in Los Angeles. "But right now, I'm seeing more interest in deeper, softer shades, minimalism, and, most importantly, the health of natural nails. Instead of very thick or heavy-looking coatings, there's more focus on thin, clean coverage, proper nail prep, and a pedicure that not only looks good right after the appointment but also feels comfortable to wear."

You can never go wrong with autumnal tones that evoke the changing leaves and cozy sweaters, either. "Neon shades and very bright summer colors are always requested less as we move into fall," says Viktoriia Voloshyna , an international judge, award-winning nail educator, and the founder of Tory Pro Nails Studio in Los Angeles. "Instead, clients are choose deeper shades like burgundy, chocolate brown, black, and dark red."

If you're into nail art or shimmer, there's a rising trend of pedicures that offer a little something extra. "Finishes are moving beyond a simple glossy manicure," says celebrity manicurist Miss Pop . "Shimmering, pearly, light-catching finishes are taking over across everything from nudes and bright colors to, yes, even neons. It's less about one specific color and more about giving that color dimension and movement."

Strawberries and cream

Strawberries and cream is a fall fashion trend that we'll see carry over to the salon. "Sheer, milky shades like cream and rose are going to be big for fall," says Miss Pop. For the September LoveShackFancy NYFW show, she used Salon Perfect's One Step Gel in Milky Rose mixed with Salon Perfect Topcoa t to create a delicate pink pedicure. "To create the color, I used a mix of 25% pink polish and 75% top coat. It was a sweet pop of pink, like bubble gum blown into a bubble. Sheer and delicate, but fun."

If pink isn't your thing, you can still capture the spirit of the trend with a sheer, off-white pedicure. Miss Pop recommends the shades Salon Perfect Milky Pillow Talk or Essie Crystal Ball , which was the pedicure color she used for the September Diane von Furstenberg show. "These milky, barely there shades feel fresh and polished while still giving the nails a little something extra," she says.

Wine reds

"One of the biggest pedicure trends right now is a thin, clean-looking coating without too many layers of product," says Swan. "When it comes to color, fall naturally brings deeper, richer, and more muted shades."

Swan recommends choosing a rich wine shade, regardless of whether you're going with a simple thin coat or something more elaborate. "If you really want that seasonal color change, deeper wine tones feel very fall," she says. "It could be a classic glossy wine or a cat eye with a soft shimmer and a more translucent finish. It's a classic fall color that people already feel comfortable wearing, but it still looks rich and elegant. It works with almost any fall wardrobe and feels appropriate for both everyday wear and special occasions."

Cat-eye pedicures

Yes, cat-eye nails have officially come for our toes. "I'm seeing interest in cat-eye finishes because they add depth and movement while still looking elegant," says Voloshyna. The trick is to choose a timeless shade that balances out the trendy approach.

"For fall, my clients are choosing deeper, richer colors," says Voloshyna. "Classic red and burgundy are still the most requested, but black is also very popular."

Dark-wash denim

Multiple experts we spoke to cited denim-inspired blue as a big trend for fall pedicures. "We're seeing clients gravitate toward deeper, richer shades for fall, but there are more options beyond the usual burgundy," says Sandra Kim, the founder of New York City's Peach Bling salons . "Chocolate brown, espresso, oxblood, and forest green have been especially popular, along with cooler tones like slate gray and denim blue."

According to Kim, it's less about the shade itself than the finish you choose. "What feels different this season is that the color itself isn't necessarily the whole story," she says. "We're seeing more interest in high-gloss finishes, subtle shimmer, chrome, and magnetic effects, which can make a familiar shade feel more current without needing a complicated design."

Chocolate brown

There was one fall pedi trend that all the experts seemed to agree on: chocolate brown. "If I had to choose just one shade, I'd go with chocolate brown," says Kim. "It has the richness we want from a fall shade, but it doesn't feel quite as expected as black or burgundy. It also looks particularly good on toes because a glossy finish really brings out the depth of the color. It's one of those shades that can feel polished and seasonal without looking like you're trying too hard to make a pedicure feel 'fall.'"

Miss Pop agrees, adding that she would go with "a sparkling, delicious brown" like Salon Perfect One Step Gel in Magnetic Gold . "It's not just a fall shade," she says. "It's the shade having a moment right now. I sent a shimmering chestnut brown down the runway for Bronx and Banco and again this September for Diane von Furstenberg. Brown polish is such a beautiful way to highlight your natural beauty and coloring, especially if you have brown hair. I think of it as an alternative nude for brunettes: It feels neutral and wearable, but richer and a little more unexpected than a traditional nude."
