The new GM15 and GMP15 beautifully blend form and function, but these limited-edition folders won't stick around for long.

As the numbers attached to the names suggest, GiantMouse has been producing its vaunted GM line for several years now.
While these high-end limited-edition knives never cease to amaze, the new GM15 ($395) and GMP15 ($445) appear to drill down on the design-driven, detail-oriented nature of the series better than any other.

Which is why I will state up front that only 250 examples of the former and 150 of the latter are being produced, and they will likely sell out fast. (Seriously, if you are interested, stop reading and click on those links above now.)
Now, onto those details.

As in previous years, the two variants are structurally the same, with the major point of difference being the palette, with the GM featuring silver-and-grey as aesthetic while the GMP15 (the P is short for "pirate") gets a much darker treatment, complete with a PVD coating.

Weighing 4.4 ounces, both editions feature a 3-inch drop-point blade made of wear-resistant, edge-retaining S90V super steel, an ergonomically shaped 4.5-inch titanium handle, a 7.8-inch open length, a precision-bearing pivot and a sturdy frame lock.

The minimalist Jesper Voxnaes design also features an integrated backspacer that leaves the display side of the handle as smooth as possible, while just two screws on the off side keep it quite clean as well.

The streamlined approach also surfaces in even smaller components, as the GM15's titanium pivot collar, pivot ring and clip-on spacer get a non-reflective fine satin hand finish. (The GMP15's pivot collar, backspacer and thumb stud, meanwhile, get an anodized blue finish for a bit of visual pop.)

Elsewhere, the knives take inspiration from the watch world: the sword-like pocket clip resembles the hands of old mil-spec watches, the backspacer recalls vintage dive watch bezels and the custom thumb stud echoes classic dive watch crowns.
