Mountain Dew Launches Pitch Black, New Citrus Grape-Flavored Soda Sold Exclusively in the U.K.

Mountain Dew is expanding its range in the U.K.

The brand is launching Pitch Black, a citrus grape-flavored drink with dark purple coloring. The new product will be available for purchase across the country beginning in November 2026, and will run an exclusive launch with wholesaler Booker Group throughout October, according to a press release from Carlsberg Britvic, which distributes Mountain Dew drinks in the U.K.

The drink will be available in 12-packs of 16.9 oz bottles.

"With its bold taste, striking dark liquid and standout pack, it's sure to grab shoppers' attention," Carlsberg Britvic's brand director of carbonates, David Laidler, said.

"We're confident Pitch Black will deliver strong sales by exciting fans, while bringing new consumers into the Mountain Dew brand," Laidler added.

"Mountain Dew is flying," Laidler said, noting that the soda's sales have increased 11.5% year over year. "Our bold new Pitch Black flavor innovation offers customers an opportunity to build on that momentum."

According to the press release, the Mountain Dew brand is now worth £32.6 million ($43.2 million) in retail sales value in the U.K.
