If you've been seeing N95 masks and other pandemic supplies trending, it's because people have been a little worried about the hantavirus cruise ship. And you may know from experience: it's best to stock up on supplies now (even if it might not be necessary), rather than later when everything could be sold out.
One item you definitely want to stock up on are N95 face masks that are breathable when you're working out — whether going for a run or lifting weights at the gym. And based on reviews, Amazon's Lyka Distribution KN95 Face Masks (50 Pack for just $20) fit the bill.
"Comfortable wearing to the gym," one buyer writes about these masks.
You can get these masks in White or Black. They're designed with 5 layer protection, a foldable 3D shape, and comfortable elastic ear loops with an adjustable nose clip. Buyers on Amazon rate them 4.4 out of 5 stars. (If you have any questions about these masks' effectiveness against hantavirus specifically, be sure and talk to your doctor.)
These Masks Are Comfy When Working Out, Buyers Say
"Holds up even when wearing it exercising with it on for an hour," another buyer notes.
"Very comfortable and easy to breathe. Works well while exercising. Fits well," says a third.
Another reviewer says she wears them when gardening outside.
"I got these to wear when I'm cleaning out chicken coops or tilling the garden," she writes. "After a serious sinus infection, I was told to guard against particles. I don't use them for COVID or the flu, but for work that could send dust into my nose and lungs . . . to avoid bronchitis and sinus issues. It is comfortable enough, and the fit around my ears is fine."

There's nothing to feel ashamed about if you've been a little nervous about the hantavirus patients on the MV Hondius cruise ship. A number of passengers who disembarked early are in America and being monitored. And others will be quarantined during the virus's incubation period, according to First Alert 6.
But while most experts say the risk is low, it's natural to be nervous after the COVID-19 pandemic. And we know from experience that waiting too long means important supplies could be sold out. So go ahead and stock up on a 50-pack of Lyka Distribution KN95 Face Masks. They're only $20, and you can always wear them when gardening to avoid pollen if you don't end up needing them for hantavirus.
