You'd have to be living under a rock to miss all of this year's early Black Friday deals. But the real news is that Saatva , our favorite mattress company, is in the mix. In the spirit of mattress selling, no deal can go unchallenged, so Saatva is trying to get one over on Amazon , Wayfair, and other major retailers by offering Esquire readers an exclusive 20 percent off mattress purchases over $1,000, through December 1.
Beating the holiday rush can save you up to $640 on the Saatva Classic , "the best all-around mattress you can buy on the market today," according to commerce editor Luke Guillory . "This is not a memory-foam mattress that's meant to be all squishy and fall apart in a year," Guillory writes in his Classic mattress review. "This is a real-deal mattress with metal. It will, I'm certain, last longer than similarly priced models."
The mattress comes in three firmness levels: plush soft, luxury firm, and firm. Guillory chose the advertised middle-ground luxury firm, since his wife prefers a sink-in bed while he'd sleep on a Japanese-style floor mattress if he had his way. "The soft, quilted cotton pillow top is breathable but cradles you to sleep," he said. "Beneath that, a lumbar support zone made out of gel gives you structure in the part of the bed that gets the most wear and tear, and it gives the mattress a bit of pushback. (This was a must-have for me.)" It was great for him, but he noted it was a bit too firm for his wife. If you're undecided, you can take Saatva's handy mattress quiz , or go get a nostalgic mattress-hopping experience if you live close to a brick-and-mortar showroom .
The Saatva Classic may be the brand's most popular mattress, but it's not the only one with rave reviews. Models tailored toward back pain , larger bodies, and hot sleepers are also discounted by 20 percent, equaling savings of up to $1,000—money that could go a long way when gift shopping.

Every Saatva mattress purchase includes free delivery and setup, and they'll even haul away your old mattress free of charge. You can rest easy (pardon the pun) knowing you have a full 365 days to switch to a different firmness level or mattress size—or receive a full refund.
This exclusive deal runs through December 1, so you still have plenty of time to decide. With that being said, you could avoid a whole lot of sleepless nights between now and then. Plus, if you spring for a new guest bedroom mattress ahead of Thanksgiving, you'll impress the hell out of your overnight guests. The only downside? They may never want to leave.
