With everything there is to love about spring, one thing is always a major buzzkill of the season: allergies . As exciting as the weather finally warming up and seeing everything in bloom is, the stuffy nose, constant sneezing and itchy eyes that can come along with the season's start ranges anywhere from a slight inconvenience to downright disruptive.
That’s why anything that can help make those symptoms more manageable is worth a look, and especially if it’s at an incredibly budget-friendly price. Spring cleaning and keeping the windows closed are probably what first comes to mind for warding off pesky seasonal allergies, but one of the spots that’s easy to overlook for keeping them at bay is your pillow.
Yup, while our beds are the go-to for resting up and recharging, pillows can collect dust that can lead to or worsen those dreaded allergy symptoms. That’s where a new Aldi find comes in to make life easier once again. New allergy defense pillows are headed to store shelves for just $5.99, and it’s a bargain designed to stop dust in its tracks.
Kirkton House Allergy Protection Bed Pillow, $5.99 at Aldi
In the midst of all of the swaps around the house from winter to spring, these Kirkton House Allergy Protection Bed Pillows are a switch worth making in the fight against pollen and congestion.
At first glance, it looks like just an ordinary pillow, but these are made with soft, allergy defense fabric and a hypoallergenic fill, so these 100 percent polyester pillows are intentionally designed to protect you against allergens all season.

They fit both standard and queen pillowcases, and they come in three unique options: all white, or pillows that have a subtle taupe or light green border.
Of course, they can't promise you'll have a totally allergy-free spring season, but they do make it less likely they'll happen because of a dust-filled pillow. For something so low-cost, it’s worth a try, whether you always experience severe allergies every spring or simply get the occasional pollen-triggered sneezing fit.
They’ll officially arrive in Aldi stores starting April 15 and be available through the week until April 21 (unless they sell out before then). Once they land in stores, you can pick one up and hit the pillow for a sounder sleep this spring.
