Twist and shout: The best spin scrubbers of 2026 are here to help you clean every nook and cranny of your home. (Amazon)

Electric spin scrubbers make even the toughest cleaning jobs a whole lot easier. With powerful motors and sturdy brushes, they tackle most of the dirty work, like cleaning grout and shining up shower walls , for you. Many also come with extendable wands, so you can clean up high or down low without contorting your body into uncomfortable positions.

Though they're often used in the bathroom, the best spin scrubbers are versatile enough for a wide range of household chores, with run times of roughly 90 minutes for uninterrupted cleaning. I tested eight electric spin scrubbers to see if they had enough power to scrub away bathroom messes like globs of a charcoal face mask and stuck-on toothpaste. This roundup of the best spin scrubbers includes handheld, extendable and mini options that impressed me across the board. I plan to test some buzzy new models soon and am excited to see how they compare to my go-tos.

Best spin scrubbers of 2026

Weight:3.63 lbs. | Run time:90 minutes | Power source/type:Charging cable | Accessories:12, including brushes and sponges

Why it's great:Over 8,200 online shoppers left a five-star review after giving this electric spin scrubber a whirl, so I was curious to try it for myself. I'm happy to report that this sturdy spin brush transformed my bathroom in less than 30 minutes. It rings in at just under $45 but is frequently on sale, making it our best budget scrubber.

Not only does the Khelfer Electric Spin Scrubber feature an extendable handle (ideal for reaching high and low areas), but it also comes with a variety of brush types for tackling different types of cleaning tasks. I found the instructions easy to follow and appreciated that the device arrived almost entirely assembled.

I was able to quickly clean problematic areas in my bathroom, including the shower walls, floors and a multi-tiered storage caddy, without needing a step stool or bending down on my knees. I also used the spin scrubber with one of the smaller brushes and a multi-purpose cleaner in my kitchen to tackle spilled spices and residue from condiments and sauces. Other than guiding the cordless gadget with my hand, I hardly had to do any work.

Minor criticisms:Some shopper reviews noted that the electric spin scrubber took a while to charge (the brand says 3-4 hours for 90 minutes of cleaning time), but I didn't find the wait time excessive. If you're concerned, my tip is to let this gadget charge overnight.

Pros
  • Extendable handle
  • Variety of brush attachments
  • Easy to use
  • Budget-friendly
Cons
  • Some shoppers complain about long charging time

Why it's great:The Hoto Electric Spin Scrubber blew us (and a lot of dirt and grime) away with its strength and shape-shifting abilities. With the large round brush attached to the spinner head, I was able to scrub mud, toothpaste, slime and clay off tiled shower walls using just water. Between its streamlined operation, covert twist-and-lock wand and sleek design, I felt like something out of The Matrix using this thing!

The wand is extendable from 37 to 51 inches and, unlike other long scrubbers I've tested, can be adapted with the flick of a wrist. To loosen the wand, simply turn it clockwise, then turn it counterclockwise to tighten the grip. You can shorten or extend it however much you want (versus predetermined lengths), and to toggle between the two speed settings, all you have to do is lightly tap a button.

Another factor that sets this gadget apart is that its motor sits in the spin scrubber, so it can be used as a handheld without the wand. This allows for more controlled cleaning when tackling countertops and dishes. Because the entire device is completely waterproof, I also didn't need to worry about damaging the wand when dipping the brush head into water ... or dropping the whole thing into a semi-filled tub (hey, accidents happen!).

Minor criticisms: All of the Hoto's unique features come at a higher price, but it's really like getting a handheld scrubber and a long, extendable scrubber in one. For added value, it comes with a suite of attachment tools and accessories, including traditional brushes for scrubbing and a microfiber cloth for buffing delicate surfaces.

Pros
  • Two speeds
  • Fully waterproof
  • Can customize wand length
  • Can use handheld scrubber on its own
Cons
  • Scrubbing brush is not flexible
  • Charging cable doesn't plug into a traditional outlet (though you can buy an adapter)

Weight:0.74 lb. | Run time:N/A | Power source:Four AAA batteries (included) | Accessories:17, including four brushes

Why it's great:Ever reach for an old toothbrush to clean behind your faucet or to scrub dirt off your shoes? Help is on the way — and it's in the form of this tiny-but-mighty brush from Rubbermaid. The top-rated Reveal scrubber comes with four AAA batteries and its own wardrobe of accessories, including four brush heads and one Velcro head that can be used with any of the 12 scrubber or microfiber pads.

I used the large brush and grout brush heads to slowly but surely break down the globs of caked-on mud, toothpaste and other troublemakers in my "shower course," as well as remnants that had splashed onto a shower caddy and hardened there. With a little water (and, for stains, a little dish soap), the possibilities are endless.

The extra-large brush shown — a bonus compared to other mini scrub brushes I researched — is a savior for tackling rounded items and areas, working magic on (i.e., swiftly removing food and sauces from) dirty pots and pans and around sinks.  I've personally used this gizmo to detail my car's grooves and spot-clean well-loved sneakers.

Minor criticisms:You will eventually need to replace the batteries, which is an added cost. But considering this gadget costs about $25 — one of the most affordable in the testing pool — spending a few bucks on batteries doesn't detract from its value.

Pros
  • 17 accessories
  • Doesn't require charging
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Only one speed
  • Will need to replace batteries

Factors to consider when choosing a spin scrubber

The best spin scrubber is the one that meets your needs. I like a mini spin scrubber for detailing, a handheld option for tackling larger areas I can easily reach and extendable scrubbers for higher (or lower) areas that would otherwise require a ladder or uncomfortable bending. Here's how to choose a spin scrubber for your space.

✓ Scrubber type:

  • Long, often extendable spin scrubbers are good for tackling large surfaces, such as shower walls, bathtubs and floors.

  • Handheld spin scrubbers are helpful for tackling areas and items that are more easily accessible and therefore don't require much bending or reach (counters, ovens and dishes, for example).

  • Mini spin scrubbers are ideal for narrow areas and detail work (think: polishing grout, getting into refrigerator nooks and spot-cleaning shoes).

✓ Power source:

  • Rechargeable spin scrubbers can be plugged right into an outlet. If the scrubber charges with a USB cable, you'll need a USB port or adapter to plug it into a traditional wall outlet.

  • Battery-operated spin scrubbers require the purchase of replacement batteries but don't require charging.

✓ Run time:Longer run times mean more cleaning in one go. Try to find a spin scrubber that offers at least 60 minutes, especially if you have a big house and/or larger cleaning projects.

✓ Speed settings:Lower speeds typically suffice for everyday cleaning, while higher speeds (which is usually what you get if the scrubber only has one speed) exert more "muscle," but can result in more splashing (this is where a pair of goggles can come in handy!). All of the models in our list feature one or two speed settings.

✓ Accessories:Most spin scrubbers come with a mix of flat brushes and rounded brushes, as well as long and/or pointed brushes for getting into cracks. Microfiber pads can be helpful for buffing delicate surfaces, and sponge (or scour) pads for scrubbing tougher grime, like grease on a grill or stovetop.

How we test spin scrubbers

To assess power (i.e. scrubbing potential), I used the spin scrubbers on their highest settings, with similar (flat brush) attachments on a "shower course" I created for a tiled wall. It included the following challenges:

  • "Mud bath" test:I took spin scrubbers to a layer of a mud/charcoal face mask to see how well they could handle something really dirty.

  • "Paste race" test:I squeezed globs of toothpaste onto the wall to see how well the spin scrubbers could navigate a thick/goopy substance.

  • "Scrub-down" test:I caked an especially messy green body clay onto the tile for something soapy/scummy.

  • "Slime time" test:I added a veil of kids bath slime to see how the spin scrubbers could fare against something sticky/gel-like.

Then I tried the spin scrubbers' attachments and any additional features in other spots around the house. This helped me gauge the gadgets' well-roundedness and versatility, while also factoring in things like comfort, convenience and accessories.

Other spin scrubbers we tested

So many spiffy spin scrubbers, so little time! In total I tested eight of these gadgets, and while these didn't make it to the top spots, many fared well in our testing.

Casabella Power Spin Scrubber : The Casabella is typical of an extendable spin scrubber in that it's made up of four components: a brush head, an upper piece, an extendable wand and a bottom piece. The wand extends and retracts via a clip (vs. Hoto's twist of the wrist) and locks into pre-designated slots. The device has only one speed, and you can't detach the scrubber from the wand, but the upper portion is adjustable to 45-, 90-, and 180-degree angles.

Black + Decker Power Scrubber : This handheld scrubber is powerful, but it's also battery-powered and comes with only two scouring pads, compared to the wide assortment of brushes and accessories offered by competitors.

The Pink Stuff The Miracle Scrubber Kit : Like our favorite Rubbermaid mini, this scrubber is powered by four AAA batteries (included), and it comes with several of the same brushes. It's missing the most useful ones, though, including Rubbermaid's extra-large, dome-style brush that proved particularly helpful for rounded areas and dishes.

Spin scrubber FAQs

How do I use a spin scrubber?

Once you assemble and charge (if needed) your spin scrubber, you'll want to attach your desired tool and/or brush head. With long, extendable spin brushes (outside of Hoto), you can typically use the spin scrubber heads with or without the wand, but you will need to connect the head to the base.

I used water only in my testing for the ultimate challenge, but you may find that incorporating cleaning solutions can help along the way. Be sure to read your scrubber's instruction manual for proper care and maintenance.
