Professional housekeepers are all about working smarter, not harder. "We rely on products to be effective and efficient to provide quality surfaces in a limited timeframe," explain Becca Crandall and Bentley Rosser, Owner and Director of Cleaning Operations, respectively, at cleaning and organization company Beck in Birmingham, Alabama.

Enter: Bar Keeper's Friend. It's earned a cult following for its versatility, ease of use, and affordability. You can use it in your kitchen , bathroom , laundry room, and more. But what does that mean, exactly? Crandall and Rosser help us break it down for you below with 11 ways to use Bar Keeper's Friend in your home.

In the Kitchen

If you don't use Bar Keeper's Friend anywhere else, always make sure it's stocked in your kitchen.

Stove Range & Stainless Steel Appliances

One of the most common uses is on your stove range and stainless steel appliances. "We apply the product directly to the surface area being cleaned and use a Swedish cloth to buff, shine, and remove excess product," direct Crandall and Rosser.

Sinks

Sinks can get pretty nasty and develop an extremely off-putting smell. Crandall and Rosser use Bar Keeper's Friend to erase the residue causing it, plus scuffs and scratches, on stainless steel, porcelain, and even brass.

Dishware & Flatware

When it comes to flatware, Bar Keeper's Friend is the go-to for creating that perfect shine and can make your look brand new (no silver polish needed). "Use sparingly—a little goes a long way," Crandall and Rosser urge. It can also remove those pesky scratch marks on light colored dishes.

Glass Cooktop

Glass cooktops are notoriously difficult to keep clean and shiny. Crandall and Rosser swear that a good scrub with a rough sponge and Bar Keeper's Friend will bring back its gleaming reflection.

Built-Up Grease

The grease on your oven and stove vents can be frustrating to remove—but not with Bar Keeper's Friend. "To clean stainless appliances, use a soft sponge with a small drop of Bar Keeper's Friend and scrub in circular motions, then finish it off with a stainless steel polish," say Crandall and Rosser.

In the Laundry Room

You would have never thought about it, but Bar Keeper's Friend can make washer and dryer maintenance a breeze.

Washing Machine & Dryer

"Use Bar Keeper's Friend to clean stuck-on lint and debris inside your washing machine and dryer," Crandall and Rosser recommend. "For front-opening washers and dryers , use a small drop to clean the inside rubber flaps and remove any mold or mildew ."

In the Bathroom

The shower, tub, showerhead, sink, grout, and even the toilet all benefit from a little Bar Keeper's Friend. Here's how to tackle the especially stubborn areas.

Shows & Tubs

If you've struggled to make your shower and (porcelain or fiberglass) tub look as new as the day you got them, pair Bar Keeper's Friend with a Scrub Daddy sponge and start scrubbing. The scratches and scuffs will be gone in no time, Crandall and Rosser promise.

Grout

Rust and other kinds of buildup are inevitable on tile grout, but they're also easy to remove with Bar Keeper's Friend and a good grout brush with firm bristles "Use the soft cleanser rather than the powder to really get into grooves and small crevices," advise Crandall and Rosser.

For Your Car

Surprise! Head out to the garage with your Bar Keeper's Friend in tow and give your trusty car a mini makeover.

Tire Rims

According to Crandall and Rosser, you can make your chrome rims shine like you just pulled out of the car lot.

Scratches

Don't let those small scratches bug you—just use a little Bar Keeper's Friend to buff them out.
