If you share your home with a cat, you know the litter box is only half the battle. The other half is figuring out what to do with the used litter once you scoop it. Target is selling a handy fix right now, and it's cheaper than you might expect. The Litter Genie LG Pail in gray is a pet waste container designed to keep smells locked away where they belong.
Right now, the Litter Genie LG Pail Pet Waste Container is $20.82 at Target, down from its regular price. The pail has a 6.3-liter capacity and can hold up to 14 days of soiled litter for one cat. That means fewer trips to the outdoor trash can and less time spent dealing with a smelly bin.

A sliding lever seals the waste inside, and the multi-layer film has an odor-locking barrier to help keep litter smells from drifting through your home. Anyone who has ever battled an overflowing trash can next to the litter box will appreciate that.
Bagging is simple, too. The pail comes with a starter refill with 14 feet of continuous film, which can last up to two months for one cat. Instead of tying off individual bags, you cut and tie the film to the length you need, which helps minimize waste. When it's time to restock, the pail works with Litter Genie Standard, Jumbo and Jumbo Value Refills.

No assembly is required, and the set includes the pail, a scoop with a scoop holder and the starter refill. At just over 18 inches tall, the pail sits at a comfortable height, so you won't have to bend all the way down to the floor. Cleanup is easy as well. Just spot-clean it or wipe it down when needed.
Shoppers seem to agree that it's a good buy. The pail has a 4.77-out-of-5-star rating at Target, and 83% of reviewers gave it five stars. They praise its convenience, odor control, and ergonomic height.
The neutral gray color is subtle enough to blend into most laundry rooms, bathrooms or hallway corners. It measures about 9.3 inches wide and 9.5 inches deep, so it doesn't take up much floor space. It also comes with a one-year limited warranty for extra peace of mind.
If scooping the litter box is your least favorite chore, this pail is a budget-friendly way to make the job a little less unpleasant. Just keep in mind that prices and availability at Target may change.
