The barn coat is a classic piece of American workwear popularized in the 1980s by brands like J.Crew , L.L.Bean, and Orvis. But its popularity has grown substantially through the 2020s, and variations are offered by a wide variety of brands.
Unsurprisingly, Levi's jumped on the trend with a denim variation. It features the requisite overlapping pockets and a corduroy-lined collar, and, best of all, it is significantly discounted right now.

The Levi's Towners Jacket sticks closely to the barn coat blueprint . It features a pair of patch pockets with slanted openings. The pocket bag hangs over an additional set of patch pockets, acting like flaps.
A fifth external pocket is placed on the upper left-hand chest, featuring a zipper opening. It mimics the back pocket of Levi's jeans with a spade shape and the brand's signature red tab.

The front opening is secured by four Levi's rivet buttons, the same as those found on the brand's jeans, with one more placed on each cuff.
This denim barn coat follows the Levi's color scheme with golden-brown stitching used throughout.

Along with the collar, brown corduroy lines the inside of the vented cuffs.
The Towners jacket is made with 100 percent cotton Dark Wash denim and cut with a loose, classic fit.
