Vans’ Most Interesting New Release Isn’t Even a Shoe

Footwear may have initially put Vans on the map, but in the ensuing 60 years of cultivating Southern California cool, the brand has grown from producing solely slim sneakers to a full apparel, accessories and footwear assortment.
While crewneck sweatshirts, graphic T-shirts and skate-ready socks are expected from the casually cool brand, its latest apparel release is a truly Off the Wall take on a piece of heritage hunting apparel, by way of a brand-new collaboration with multidisciplinary artist SZA.

The VANSZA Hunting Vest is a laid-back, contemporary take on the traditional hunting vest, mixing a relaxed loose-fit silhouette with a classic silhouette and pocketing.
The boxy vest is designed to easily layer with long sleeves, T-shirt or hoodies, with the intention to mix and match as desired.
The shell is constructed from durable 3M nylon ripstop in a vivid Classic Blue colorway, while the lining appears in a high-contrast safety orange, a nod to the silhouette's roots.
Utility-inspired cargo pockets appear on the lower front, with a matching righthand snap-closure chest pocket.
Each of the lower pockets are designed with a snap flap as well as side entry for easy access. The metal front zipper adds heritage appeal to the modern release.
The VANSZA Hunting Vest is a unisex style, and is available on Vans' website right now for $120.
