Every Air Jordan 6 Infrared Release, 1991 to 2026

At first glance, the Air Jordan 6 Infrared collection can look pretty samey. But with a closer examination of each shoe, you can see the differences. And depending on who you're talking to, those differences are significant.
We're just weeks away from the release of the Air Jordan 6 White Infrared, and its number one feature is the return of Nike Air on the heel. The last version didn't have that.
For my taste, the best Infrared is the recently released Air Jordan 6 "Salesman," also known as the Reverse Infrared. Initially, I didn't think that sneaker was all that special. But it's one of those shoes you have to hold in your hand and examine closely to see how the quality takes it to another level.
Let's take a look at all the Air Jordan 6 Infrared releases, dating all the way back to the beginning in 1991 and leading up to the upcoming release in November 2026.

Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan 6, and it launched in 1991 in both Black/Infrared and White/Infrared. Michael Jordan wore the black pair on the way to his first championship and Finals MVP .
The first retro arrived Aug. 24, 2000 , and only the Black/Infrared returned that year, at $120.
The White/Infrared got its first retro in June 2010, when both colorways arrived together in the Infrared Pack, a two-pair set that retailed for $310.
More Air Jordan 6 Coverage
The year 2014 brought three more. The White/Infrared and a red Infrared 23 makeup dropped Feb. 15, and the Black/Infrared followed on Black Friday, Nov. 28.
The Feb. 16, 2019, Black/Infrared retro went back to the 1991 blueprint, from the nubuck upper to the reflective heel detailing, at a $200 retail price .
A reverse-sole sample from around 1999 and 2000 flipped the midsole and heel color blocking but never released. Jordan Brand finally issued that look as the "Salesman" Air Jordan 6 on Feb. 14, 2026, for $215, with sample-style factory tags and a sockliner stamped "Not For Resale."
Your focus on the newly released and even some of the pre-release versions of the Air Jordan 6 Infrared should really be directed toward the things that matter most to you as a sneakerhead.
If you're a big texture person, getting an opportunity to feel and touch the shoe will let you know what level of quality to expect if you decide to cop that sneaker.

If you're more of an outward-detail person, where the fit or texture doesn't matter as much as the smaller details, things like whether Nike Air is on the heel or whether it's a different shade of red or infrared will stand out to you.
The White/Infrared returns Nov. 7 for $215 under style code CT8529-105.
If you're just a person who wants the new-new, meaning you have to have the sneaker that dropped most recently, then the details don't matter as much as having the newest release.
