Aldi's Halloween NeeDoh Toys Sell Out in Minutes, Leaving Shoppers Disappointed
Halloween NeeDohs have finally arrived, but not without a slew of disappointed fans in tow. Calling the popular fidget toy made by Schylling a craze would be an understatement, but after this morning's release, it's clear fans will go to great lengths to secure one, or an entire case, for that matter.
Perhaps Aldi's most anticipated seasonal Find, the limited-edition Halloween-themed NeeDohs retail for just $4.99 and come in a variety of glow-in-the-dark colors. But while the toys were advertised to arrive in stores today, the rollout hasn't gone as smoothly as some fans expected, leaving plenty of shoppers frustrated and empty-handed.
Some Aldi Stores Put the Halloween NeeDohs Out Early
Aldi's Halloween Needohs are hitting stores nationwide today; however, shoppers across social media are reporting that some locations put their stock out last night. Even more frustrating, fans report extremely low availability from the jump, with some stores receiving only a handful of units in total.
"I was waiting at our Aldi's this morning for an hour before they opened just to go inside and be told 'oh our workers put them out last night and they sold out right away,'" one person shared
in response to an Instagram post by @sweet_deals_finder
announcing the drop.
A second shopper chimed in
, adding that at their local store in NYC, "they had one tiny box after so much advertising," while calling it a "waste of time."
As if to add insult to injury, a post on the r/NeeDoh subreddit by /RobSapp asked East Coast shoppers waiting in line how things were going and highlighted the root of the problem. Responses painted a similar picture, with reports of lines of up to 30 people, not enough stock to serve even the first five shoppers and questionable limits on how many each person could buy.
"My local Aldi had a total of eight," one person shared
. "The first two people grabbed four each. What a joke."
"I was number 27 in line and didn't get one," another shopper added
, while a third experienced a similar situation:
"I had 17 in line ahead of me. Got there at 20 min early. They had 3 boxes. Limited people to 4 each. There were 3 left when I got to them, I took one. Felt guilty to take anymore, there were probably 10 people behind me."
Others reported locations "sold out by 9 a.m.," while another shopper claimed, "a grown man bought the whole box."

If you couldn't get in line early this morning but still want to try your luck, check with your local Aldi as soon as you can. Unfortunately, Aldi doesn't provide individual store phone numbers, so while you can't call to check availability, you can use third-party delivery services like Instacart to see whether nearby locations show NeeDohs in stock.
That said, Aldi's inventory varies from store to store, so you never know if a nearby store (or one within driving distance) might still have some available. If you're lucky, a location could have received more stock than others or simply not had a line of dedicated fans waiting outside when the Halloween NeeDohs arrived. Either way, grab your keys now and scoot over before it's too late.
