Build-A-Bear Just Launched a New Collection for Grown-Up Fans With 3 Unique Characters
Build-A-Bear just released an all-new collection of stuffed characters designed for grown-up fans of the retail chain. The Mellow Moodies collection features three unique characters the brand says were created specifically for teens and young adults, complete with youthful personality traits and interests.
First up is Huck the Bear, "the serial hobbyist of the group," reads a Build-A-Bear press release. "One week he's tending houseplants, the next he's perfecting his cold brew recipe. Curious, cozy and always ready to match your vibe."

There's also Mateo the Dog, "the always-chill music guy with a playlist for every mood and occasion." BAB describes Mateo as "kind, resourceful, and the friend who keeps everyone grounded."
Then there's Willow the Fox: "Calm, confident and never far from her journal. A stationery lover and old-school letter writer who would absolutely love to be your pen pal."

Each Mellow Moodie is a make-your-own product, with the same in-store experience as other BAB characters. Customers choose their Mellow Moodie and complete a stuffing ceremony that includes adding a heart inside the plushie. Like other BAB characters, scents, sounds, and mix-and-match outfit pieces can also be added for an extra cost.
"The Mellow Moodies live in a laid-back, walkable world of indie coffee shops, mural-lined streets, record shops and sunny stoops, with nowhere they need to be in a hurry," Build-A-Bear explains. "Each one has their own look, personality and plenty of aura — which is exactly what makes this group work. Whether they're thrift-flipping, turning a park hang into a photo shoot or just spending a slow afternoon together, the Mellow Moodies are all about individuality, friendship and feeling good."
Mellow Moodies are priced around $70 if purchased with a bundle of accessories and clothing. The stuffed animals by themselves cost $36 each, and prices for clothing and accessories range from $5.50 to $20.
The Mellow Moodies collection arrived in Build-A-Bear stores and at BuildABear.com on Oct. 8 and are available now.
