2 Lineup Changes Cubs Need To Make
With the veteran core mired in a deep offensive slump, Craig Counsell must lean on surging youngsters Matt Shaw and Pedro Ramirez to ignite a stagnant offense.

What is up Cubs fans and welcome back to Cubs Roundtable.
I'm Joey Polizzi talking about all things Cubs and the Cubs have not played that well this month in the month of June.
They're just 7-8 this month and they still trail the Milwaukee Brewers by eight games in the National League Division Central standings.
If they want to dig themselves out of this hole, they're going to have to play better baseball in all three facets, starting pitching, bullpen, and especially on offense.
The Cubs rank bottom 10 in the league in both runs per game and runs scored since May 19th.
They have to be better.
They continue to not hit in runs and scoring position, although they looked good in those key spots in Wednesday's win over the Rockies, but still overall they have not been the best with runs and scoring position and veterans like Dansby Swanson, Nico Horner, and Alex Bregman continue to struggle at the plate.
Those three hitters have not provided much offensively and that's why Craig Counsell must make a lineup switch, two as a matter of fact, and giving both Matt Shaw and Pedro Ramirez more starts consistently and regularly.
Pedro Ramirez and Matt Shaw are both hitting the ball well and they have both provided sparks for this offense over the past few games.
You look at Matt Shaw, Wednesday's win over the Rockies, came up to the plate, second inning, two-run triple, got the scoring started in that inning.
The Cubs might end up scoring seven runs in that inning.
You look at Pedro Ramirez, in Monday's win, came up to the plate, bases loaded, nobody out, Cubs trailing by a run.
He comes up and ropes a 102 mile per hour single the opposite way.
Cubs tie the game and then the Cubs eventually win it on a walk-up.
The Cubs have to just give these rookies some more consistent at-bats.
They've been providing a spark while the veterans have not.
So I think it's time for Craig Counsell to put these rookies in, put the youngster Pedro Ramirez, put Matt Shaw the youngster in and give them a shot.
See what they can do and if they can provide a spark for this offense and get this Cubs offense going.
