Cleveland Browns beat writer Chris Easterling on the ongoing QB battle and how the cornerback position is taking a hit in practice.

Day 12 of the Cleveland Browns training camp, in Berea.
Just, another day closer to the preseason opener this Saturday in Chicago against the Bears.
News that will come out later is the depth chart, unofficial of course, and, Ted Monken already spoiled the, the fun by saying it will say Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders at, QB one.
But, another day of practice.
It was Deshaun's day to, to work with the ones, and, by and large, sorta like yesterday, I mean, there were some good throws.
If there was an area where Watson maybe was better than Shedeur today, it was in the move the ball periods toward the end of practice.
He is just making more plays there, so if, if we look at this competition and the evaluation and, and, and sum it up, if there's an area where Watson is, is just doing a little bit better, it is in those move the ball.
That could be the deciding factor.
Pre-snap, was, was much cleaner today after the way practice ended yesterday with, a lot of, pre-snap penalties leading to Ted Monken saying he was emotionally hijacked, by, by them and, and sorta got bullheaded with the offense and, and kept trying to run the same cadence regardless even though they were struggling with it.
So, but, but a lot cleaner, i-in that regard, but still just one of those days.
I think this team is ready to want to, want to hit somebody else, and, and they'll get a chance on Saturday in Chicago.
But, th-they're running out of cornerbacks right now.
They're down to Trey Avery and, Tyson Herring at, at, at the, the two corner spots because Denzo Ward not on the field today.
Tyson Campbell's nurs- been nursing something.
And then, it's just been, a, a number of, injuries at that position along with defensive tackle.
But, they're back at it, practice 13 tomorrow.
It's the last practice open to the fans.
It's the last practice, of this week, because, they'll have a walkthrough on Thursday before they travel Thursday night to Chicago.
So, we'll be back here tomorrow.
