There's another player who's been raking as of late, and it's not just Daniel Susac.

A player worth highlighting, for sure, based on what we've seen from him in the DH role throughout this series.
Sizzling hot.
Today, three for four with his first home run of the year, which you just saw at the very end of this game.
Seven for 13 across the series.
Has hits in the last five straight games.
Three doubles on Friday, tying a SF era record.
I mean, this dude is just going up and going to work here, Rich.
Well, a- again, it's just like any other, you know, guy in this lineup.
If your pitch selection's better and you're getting pitches you know you can drive and hit- Mm-hmm you're gonna be more successful.
you know, and I, and I think for him, possibly, too, you know, this kinda coincides with him not playing first base anymore.
Good point.
That could've been a, a big mental drain on him because I don't care who you are, how old you are, what other positions you play, 'cause I, I did it late in my career, if you haven't played a position and you're over there, like, every day, and then you saw what happened the one game where he- Yeah he kinda got scolded on the mound.
you know, things could change.
It can get in your head a little bit.
So maybe the mental aspect of trying to learn first base- Mm-hmm on the fly kinda got put to the side a little bit, and he's focused just mainly on his offense, which we saw those last five games, has been, you know, pretty impressive.
It's a great point.
For those unfamiliar, Casey Schmidt was starting the year starting at first base, which is not his natural position, and now being relieved of that.
Oh, and also you gotta mention he was dealing with a lower back tightness.
So Schmidt missed a couple of games.
I think, you know, some of that took a toll on his body as well in terms of playing that position, batting, playing every day, as Tony Vitello rolled out the starters game after game.
Not a lot of breaks there in the early going.
Now maybe with that lifted, he's playing a lot more free in the box, and it is showing.
