Georges St. Pierre’s coach makes sales pitch to Khamzat Chimaev

Coach Firas Zahabi publicly invited Khamzat Chimaev to train at Tristar Gym, citing conditioning concerns from his split-decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 328. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Zahabi said Tristar in Montreal could improve Chimaev’s conditioning, striking, and footwork. He referenced Georges St-Pierre and also invited Arman Tsarukyan to train alongside Chimaev. Chimaev entered UFC 328 as a heavy favorite but slowed after the opening round, limiting a wrestling-heavy attack as the fight progressed. He promised Chimaev he would no longer fade in fights under Tristar’s preparation methods. Zahabi and St-Pierre now hope to convince Chimaev to move to Montreal for future training camps.
