Rangers vs. Orioles Preview: Eovaldi vs. Baz Matchup
Tonight at Globe Life, the Rangers face the Orioles. Shane Baz has pitched well of late, although Baltimore has struggled with weak hitting and a frail offense.

Now you said you like the Rangers, to start with this year to win the west.
So did I.
They are- Yeah at Globe Life tonight taking on the Orioles.
Eovaldi versus Shane Baz.
And Baz, by the way, has been lights out, over his last four or five starts.
He's been very good for Baltimore.
The problem is Baltimore is averaging about four hits a game right now.
The offense is MIA.
And don't tell me about Rush because he's already been hurt, and this precedes all of that.
So, but Eovaldi's had a couple of blowups.
He's not been the Eovaldi of old.
So I, I don't know.
Is, Are we laying too big a price here with Texas?
Yeah.
I, you know, th- this is a kind of a stay away game from me, 'cause I ca- I can't bet Baltimore.
Th- they're lousy.
You know, Texas is laying only a buck 40 or so, so if I had to, that's where I would go.
Eh, the Orioles had a 10 and one run against losing teams, like Texas is, just, just barely.
But may- maybe the over seven and a half, wh- which isn't a bad little number.
You know, Baz stinks and, Eovaldi, as you said, has struggled.
ERA over four.
That's where I would go.
I, but I, I, you know, I can't bet Baltimore.
Just, just can't.
This Texas team, they, they, they started to turn things around, Joe, and then now they've lost six of their last eight.
It's like every single time with this team- It's crazy they got George Seager back last week, and they just, they just can't- Yep get over that hump.
They just, just can't for some reason.
It's amazing.
Yeah.
You know, and I, and I- So- don't get it, either, with them there.
Rockies are taking on the Cardinals.
Leahy's another guy I keep waiting to get blown up, but he doesn't.
Feltner for the Rockies.
Rockies are better at home.
I mean, they're almost an automatic fade on the road.
No?
Yeah.
You know, they're lo- I will say this about the Rockies, right?
They're, they're not good.
We, we know that.
But they're not like last year, where they were just- Right the worst team in the history of baseball, right?
Their longest losing streak this year is six games, which, you know, that, that's- Really?
You know, for a team that's, gonna lose about 100 games, that's actually pretty good.
They, they, they've avoided that- you know, losing eight, nine, 10, 11 in a row or, or 11 out of 12 streak, right?
So, they're only six and 11 since the All-Star break.
Cardinals stink.
They've managed to take two out of three against the Yankees, which is just amazing because they play bad baseball.
But I, you know, I don't say this too often, but, you know, the Colorado Rockies, Feltner, okay, pitched well his last time out.
I know I went against him.
I forget who he beat, but he did.
May- maybe the Rockies, a l- a little flyer on them.
You gotta take some underdogs every now and again.
You're getting plus 150.
I don't think the Cardinals should be 160 and change favorites over anybody, so- All right I'll take a flyer on the Rockies if I had to.
Look at Leahy's last six starts.
It's I ca- I He strikes nobody out, although he doesn't walk a ton of guys, but he's giving you six innings and he's only given up one earned, at most there.
And I don't understand it because he can't strike anybody out
