TCU Horned Frogs Coach Sonny Dykes discusses their game vs Texas Tech coming up on Thanksgiving. Dykes talks about how it is exciting and also talks about his ties to Lubbock Texas. He also highlights how it will be played on a short week and the challenges.

Uh, we were talking about this last year.
You got Texas Tech back on the schedule on Thanksgiving Day, with all of your ties to Lubbock, Texas, and, uh, your, uh, the late, your dad.
Uh, tell us, uh, what the game's gonna be.
Yeah, it'll be fun.
It's gonna be a short week.
Traveling on a short week is never fun.
Um, it's kind of the, the end of a really grueling stretch for us, you know, 4 really good football teams in a row, um.
So who knows what anybody's gonna look like at that at that stage of the season, but yeah, I mean, my brother and sister live there.
I got family there, I'll be going home, uh, for, you know, for me and Kate.
She's a graduate from there.
I'm obviously a tech grad, um, yeah, but it'd be a challenging game, but there's.
A lot of, a lot of things to be played out.
Another Texas Tech guy takes the reins of Oklahoma State and Eric Morris.
I know he's not on the schedule this year, but you should talk about that hire and, uh, what he's meant to do in your relationship with them.
Yeah, I thought it was a really good hire.
I mean, I think, you know, so Eric played receiver at Texas Tech when, uh , when I was there, and I coached the outside receivers, and Dana coached the inside.
Person coached inside receivers, and Eric played for Dana, but, you know, obviously knew Eric, um.
I knew when Eric got into coaching, I thought he would be really good, uh, just because he's incredibly competitive, you know, you look at him and you go, how can this guy play in the Big 12, you know, and he's not real tall, he's not real fast, he's not really anything, but he was really good and he was really good because it was that important to him.
He worked that hard and he cared that much.
You know, he could find ways to get things done and he's done that as a as a football coach and I'm not at all surprised.
I thought he would be really successful and, and, uh, you know, no doubt, I have no doubt in my mind he'll get Oklahoma State, uh, fixed quickly.
