The other day this was the deepest team you've had.
It looks like some of these battles for sure.
Yeah.
So it looks like some of these positions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so.
I mean, that's what you want, you know, now you want somebody to separate and you want somebody to become elite.
And I think that's kind of what we're hoping is going to happen in some of these spots, in particular with some of the young guys.
You know, you have older players in your program and, and the idea is for them to reach their potential.
And, uh, and play as well as they're capable of playing.
Then sometimes you have young guys that aren't there yet, and sometimes once they reach their potential, they pass the older guys.
And that's, that's what you want to have, uh, but you want to have great competition and, and so it's gonna be fun to watch it play out.
Uh, like you said, I mean, I think that there's, you know, you look at the tight end position, there's 4 guys, I think they can all play and once we get Lafayette back, and I feel good about 5, you know, and they're all different and, and can do different things and contribute at a high level.
Um, but, you know, I like what I'm seeing out of that group.
Um, you know, the running backs, I think are performing really well, all three of them.
And again, we've got John Denman out and two really talented young freshmen coming in.
Um, You know, like, again, like the group at linebacker, like the group at corner, uh, the young guys, I think the safeties are, are talented.
I think there's going to be a tremendous competition that goes on at safety and then, you know, up front with some of the young guys starting to emerge on the defensive line.
So, like the group overall, again, the big key for us, the next 5 practices is going to be stay healthy, continue to develop guys, stay healthy, and.
And, um, you know, and, and then when we wrap S spring ball up, we'll have a lot of time to sit down, evaluate who we think we're going to be, make some adjustments from a scheme standpoint, and, and then start preparing for, uh, you know, for summer and what we're going to do over the summer in terms of the OTAs and the things we're able to do with our players.
And, um, and then really in June start working on game planning, you know, we'll, we'll game plan 1st 234 opponents in June and, and so that our guys can wrap those, uh, scripts over the summer and, uh, it's a lot going on, but, but feel good about, about where we are and as you said, the competition, the depth.
Need to get a couple of guys back healthy in some spots, you know, we've got 3 receivers out right now that I think all 3 of them could probably contribute for us, but they're all kind of banged up.
Um, they're all young guys, but they're big and, and athletic, and so getting those guys back, I think will help us tremendously just create again more competition in the room, uh, but like what I'm seeing.
