It was a very good start for offense today.

Yeah, yeah, it was good, it was a good day.

I thought, I thought both sides, you know, did some good things.

I think, um.

You know, we were really disappointed last Friday just in the number of penalties we had and, you know, just issues pre-snap and all this stuff that, that kills offensive teams.

And today I thought, um, you know, I thought they cleaned it up.

And so it was good to see the offense execute and, and be able to convert some 3rd downs and, and do some things I thought were important to keep some drives alive and be able to score some points here and there.

And so it was a good thing.

Uh, again, defensively, I thought we'd.

Did a good job in some critical situations, particularly on 3rd down, the 3rd down part of scrimmage, and, and so I was encouraged by both sides of the ball, you know, I told the guys afterwards, uh, you know, lots of teaching opportunities.

I think that's the, that's what's so great about all the situational work that we're getting done is now we can.

Go back, evaluate them as a coaching staff and say, OK, this works, this doesn't work, we're good at this, we're not good at this, but also the players can just learn how to play in those situations and as everybody knows, I mean, that's the.

That's the difference between being a good team and a great team is, is mastering.

You know, the 3rd downs in the red zone and, and scoring and holding people out, you know, in critical situations and doing all this stuff.

And so we had a chance to work a lot of things today, got some 2 minute work done.

We were gonna work some 4 minute offense at the end.

I just felt like we had enough work, uh, so I called it a little bit early.

Um, you know, it was good because we got work done.

The offense did not turn the ball over and we stayed healthy.

And so that was, um, that was a good, good way to start a good Saturday and, and looking forward to 4.

Practices next week and kind of the same thing on Friday, more situational stuff, more team related things, and we made a big step from, you know, last Friday to to this Saturday.

Hopefully we can make that same kind of jump from today to next Friday.
