White Sox Top Draft Pick Roch Cholowsky Makes Professional Debut
No. 1 overall pick Roch Cholowsky begins his professional career with High-A Winston-Salem on Tuesday night.

Tuesday marks an exciting day for Chicago White Sox fans.
Not only is it the day after the trade deadline, where White Sox fans get to watch those new additions in action, it's also the night that Rok Cholowski, the number one overall pick in the two thousand twenty-six MLB draft, makes his professional debut in the organization.
Cholowski has officially been assigned and activated by the High A Winston-Salem Dash.
He figures to be in the lineup on Tuesday night as the Dash host the Asheville Tourists with first pitch scheduled for five thirty PM Central.
Earlier this spring, Cholowski was captaining the best team in college baseball, hitting twenty-one home runs with a ten eighty-eight OPS for the UCLA Bruins.
But after signing for a record-breaking ten point three five million dollar bonus, he's now wasting no time getting that professional career started.
This is a big reason the White Sox chose Cholowski.
It's not just that high ceiling and superstar potential, it's also the high floor and the proximity to the big leagues.
A guy who can move through the minor league system quickly, a guy who is expected to hit the ground running in Winston-Salem starting Tuesday night.
Vaughn Lackey, the number three overall pick, has already been doing it in Low A for the Minnesota Twins, but, Cholowski has a chance to outperform Lackey, make big numbers right away over the final thirty games of the season, and remind everyone why he was the runaway favorite to go number one overall.
A productive month would set up Cholowski nicely to start twenty twenty-seven in the upper levels of the minor leagues and possibly make his Major League debut next season.
He already went to draft camp in Charlotte.
He already went to the Bridge League, where he hit home runs in his first couple of games and was turning heads.
But now is when it counts, with people watching, and White Sox fans can check it out on MLB.TV or the MiLB app as Rok Cholowski takes the field for his first affiliated professional baseball game as a member of the Chicago White Sox organization.
