White Sox Prospect Roch Cholowsky Missing Time With Minor Injury
White Sox top prospect Roch Cholowsky has been sidelined with wrist soreness after a slow start at the plate, but the injury is not expected to be long-term.

Plenty of White Sox fans find themselves checking the box score of Minor League Baseball, tracking those top White Sox prospects in the farm system, including top draft pick Rok Chalowski, the number one overall pick in the 2026 draft, the number one prospect in the White Sox farm system, and the number eleven prospect in all of baseball.
But over the last few days, Chalowski has not been in the lineup for the High A Winston-Salem Dash.
After making early work of his early professional career, he quickly signed a record-breaking signing bonus.
He went to draft camp in Charlotte, the Bridge League in Arizona, got assigned to Winston-Salem, and took three games in Winston-Salem before he hit his first professional home run and got things started.
His first week in the minor leagues, first four games, five hits, two doubles, a home run, .937 OPS, not a bad week at all.
Then he started to slump.
Last week, one for 18 at the plate for Chalowski, then disappeared from the Dash lineup entirely without much word as to what was going on.
But it was revealed on Thursday, first reported by Jeff Cohen over at Future Sox, that Chalowski is currently battling wrist soreness.
He is day to day.
So the Dash choosing to be very cautious with Chalowski, and rightfully so.
You don't want this to be a thing that lingers.
You hope to just get him back healthy and get him back swinging it well.
But it's not expected right now to be anything long term, to be an IL stint, or to be something that affects Chalowski once he returns to the field.
It should just be a day or two, but, that's been the question on the minds of every White Sox fan that tracks the minor leagues, and maybe it explains some of the struggles for Chalowski over his last week.
If he wasn't feeling like himself at the plate, it could, you know, make sense that he struggled a little bit if he was dealing with some health concerns.
Batting .167, one home run, ten RBIs, a .659 OPS, not too bad, thanks to the slug for Chalowski in the first nine games of his minor league career.
