What WNBA team needs a push to make it to the postseason?
In a way-too-early playoff discussion, the Studio IX crew breaks down which teams need to push right now in the season to make it to the playoffs.

What, what are your thoughts on which team is kind of, yeah, on that like cusp, on the bubble if you will?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I'll give you the Washington Mystics.
They have- Yes they're kind of, they're right there.
They're, I think if they're c- now if the standings are still correct as they were like yesterday, I think they're at eighth right now.
They are right there.
So I think for them it is can you get the most out of your young core?
And can you win some games that, you know, put s- string some games together?
Now they did have a, a segment there where they won four straight that helped them kind of climb up the ranks, so I'm very, very curious.
Last year injuries kind of derailed their postseason like push, so I'm very curious to see if they can pull it off this year, which would be tremendous.
And also side note, if they were to make the playoffs, I really need to see Sydney Johnson just absolutely lose it on camera 'cause I don't know if you've seen his celebrations this season, but they're just like, they're so like wholesome and like he's just absolutely, you know, going crazy in these videos and the players are living for it as well.
So that's my selfish sort of like, hey, I wanna see more Sydney Johnson like vid- celebration videos.
I'm glad that you said the Mystics because that was a team that's been sitting in, in the back of my brain and they're just so fun.
Oh my gosh, the locker room videos, where Sydney's on the floor and it cuts and like, you know, Sonia's like gasping in a corner like, "What is going on?"
It's just really, really fun and they're having a good time out there.
So I, I'm glad that you said that.
But Callie, did you think of any teams or wanna bounce off of something that Meg said?
Yeah, I mean Meg mentioned a couple teams.
I definitely would love to see the Mystics in the postseason.
It'd be super cool if another expansion team other than the Valkyries, like she mentioned, makes it to the playoffs.
I will say also, I don't think I realized that the Liberty are like on the brink of not making the playoffs .
Like I looked at the standings just now, like when I said things are a little instable or unstable, I didn't think it was like that bad.
Like they're sitting in the number seven spot right above the Washington Mystics, so like one false move they might not make it type thing.
We can only hope that the Liberty make it to the postseason, so I guess that's my team where it's like, hey, get it together right now or like you're not gonna make it
