皆さんはどのようにして英単語を覚えるようにしていますか？
私は、「知らない英単語はない！」と豪語しています。
豪語していると、不思議なことに、どんな英単語も簡単に覚えてしまうのです。
今日は、私が出会った単語の中から、英米の知識人に一目置かれるような「知的な英単語」を選んで紹介します。
【今日の単語】
７月１６日の英単語は、「eulogy」。
（例）He was the most self-effacing（控えめな） of men - the last thing he would have relished（楽しむ、たしなむ） was a eulogy .
The song was a eulogy to the joys of travelling.という使い方もあります。
ところで、７月１２日の「chirography」（Unconsciously my chirography expands into placard capitals.）
いかがでしたか？
chirographyの意味は、書（体）、筆跡、
penmanship
という意味です。

アセトアミノフェンが卵巣癌に効く？
After analyzing 8 studies linked to acetaminophen（アセトアミノフェン） (paracetamol（パラセタモール）) and ovarian（卵巣の）cancer, researchers concluded that regular usage of acetaminophen (Tylenol（タイレノール）) is associated with a 30% decreased risk of the cancer.
Scientists say more research is required, because although acetaminophen appears to protect against ovarian cancer, it is also associated with a long-term risk of liver and chronic renal failure（腎不全）.
