オリンピックが始まって、どのテレビでも中継や結果が流れているから普段興味のないスポーツでも見ることになり、日本人選手が出ていると応援したくなるあたりオレもだいぶにわかナショナリストのはしくれと思う。
応援するほうは国対国のまるで戦争のように競技をとらえており、各代表選手が負けたら局所的な作戦が失敗したような失望になり、獲得したメダルの個数は戦果のように捉えられ報じられる。
「サバゲー」はオリンピックの正式種目として認められないのだろうか。
各国の軍人がチームを組んでBB弾を打ち合いポイントを競う。拠点制圧とか人質奪還とか侵攻対防衛とかの種目があって、種目毎かその合計のポイントでメダルが決まる。
テレビ中継は選手(兵士)のヘルメットにカメラを装着したら臨場感が出る。
中世の戦争を模した大規模な団体戦も面白いかもしれない。フェンシングのような判定装置付きの甲冑を着た兵士(選手)が東西に分かれてポイントを競う。武将級は馬に乗っていて、戦局がこう着すると一騎打ちがコールされてポイントは5倍になる。
駆逐艦同士の砲撃を競い合ってもよいかもしれないし、ミサイル発射解除を目的としたサイバーテロ合戦なんてのもありかもしれない。
きっとそうった種目に反対する人とか出てくるんだろうなとか、選手がその国の軍人でかためられたら疑似戦争みたいになって、負けようものなら軍隊の資質を問われることになるのだろうし、とかいうようなことを考えながら見るオリンピックの夏は熱いね。
