Recently, I’ve been seeing commercials for Arinamin Night Recover on TV quite often. One of its selling points is that it contains no caffeine, so you can take it before going to bed. There are other versions designed to relieve eye strain or help with sensitivity to cold, but the standard one seems to suit me best. When I take it before sleeping, I feel that I wake up the next morning feeling relatively refreshed. Of course, there may well be a placebo effect at play, but at under 200 yen a bottle and only 5 calories, it’s quietly becoming one of my personal favorites. For now, I plan to try it a few times a week—about two or three times—and see how it goes.
